Comfort, One Cup at a Time
When a child is hospitalized for cancer treatment, their parents often live at the bedside—exhausted, emotionally drained, and far from the comforts of home. Fuel for the Fight is a donation campaign that helps lift their spirits in small but meaningful ways.
WHAT IS IT?
Fuel for the Fight provides coffee and meal gift cards to families who are staying inpatient on the oncology floor at UPMC Children’s Hospital (Pittsburgh, PA) and Valley Children’s Hospital (Fresno, CA).
Each gift card comes with a short, encouraging note from Juno’s Rockets.
HOW IT WORKS:
- Donations of any amount are pooled to purchase gift cards to coffee shops and local restaurants near the hospitals.
- We also partner with small businesses and coffee shops to encourage point-of-sale giving (customers can add $1–$5 to their purchase).
- Gift cards are delivered to inpatient families along with a card of encouragement.
WHY IT MATTERS:
A hot coffee. A warm meal. A reminder that someone sees them.
